Oh Boy.
Well...advice was to go ahead with some of the basics like spelling and math.
I just got a reminder that "too easy" is as frustrating as "too hard" when it comes to math. I need to bump it up a few (a lot) of notches and then go from there. I got books a whole year behind what I should have because NM tested that way. Duh, mom! He doesn't test well.
Ya live and learn.
The big frustration right now is how to do math with both at the same time. We need to figure that one out. Also, I need to lay out a clear map for myself to follow plus a good reward system that will be easy for the kids to reach and appreciate. It needs to be easy at the beginning so we have a good start.

What totally frustrates James is that almost every math book starts out with the easy addition/subtraction and he gets bored with those. I don't make him do all of those. Just some to refresh his mind and the tests and then we do our best to get on to the stuff he doesn't know. He likes math and is good at it. Amie, on the other hand, really needs to go through the refresher course at the beginning of each math book.
