New Computer
So last Thursday, hubby’s computer parts finally arrived and he was able to build his new computer (the old one is going to the boys).
He’s got an Intel processor this time (first time ever to build one using something other than AMD) and a supah fast mobo—err, mother board—and goops of RAM. Just the cheapie RAM because the expensive sort tends to die 3-6 mos. after you use it. The new graphics card is HUGE. Did you know those things come with their own fans now? It’s crazy. You should see the huge and numerous heat sinks.
For the ‘rents and other family, photos are here.
Hubby got a new case, too, which is pretty nice. It fits so much better in the desk than the other one. I would say that I’d replace my case with one like his, but we’re going to save up our pennies instead. I’m hoping that next year I can get myself a laptop to replace the desktop pc. The ideal would be a tablet pc so long as the graphics card will still let me play games. The Cintiq did come to mind but I think that I’d much prefer to have mobility. Anyway, that’s a year or more away and lots of time to save up.

Instead of noticing computer parts I thought "Oh, my gosh the boys are HUGE!"
You really need to stop feeding them. :-p
