I love the soothing colors. It looks soft too! :)
I love the design!!
So pretty. Ok, I've been watching you make all these things and thinking of trying knitting. What is a good site that would have instructions for beginners? My Grandma taught me the basic stitch when I was about 8 or 9, but I never kept it up, so I've forgotten. I watch someone and I remember a bit, so I don't think it would be too hard to pick up again, but I just can't quite remember it all.
I love the design on it too. Great colors! :)
Thanks, Ayen and Mai. KC If you want it, it's yours, PM me :) (I'm serious!)

Julie, you could try Youtube (really!) because it's chock-full of knitting videos. BUT the place that I learned from is Knittinghelp.com. The videos are really great and very clear. The forum there is really helpful and full of very nice folks who don't mind answering any question. If you do start, sign up for a Ravelry.com account now (it takes time for an invite) and then let me know so I can add you to my friends list :)

Also, if your kids are interested, they sell little spool knitters at craft stores. Those are really easy for kids to get especially if they have good fine motor skills.

That's adorable!

My mom thinks you should sell stuff on etsy.com. :-)

I can't sell any of it on Etsy because they're copyrighted designs :) (not mine).

I bet you could come up with your own designs. You're creative like that. I have faith you in. :-)

Er, *in you*

I've had a long week and it's beginning to show. :-p

We have a 4 prong spool knitter. All the kids have a belt made from it, except Amie. She didn't want one made from any of the yarns we had at the house. She'll probably make it herself. The cats favorite toy is made from that too. James, Amie, and I work on it until it's as long as I am tall and then they run through the house dragging one side and the cats love it. Sometimes they even drag it around when we aren't playing with them. We have to make a new one every 3 or 4 months.
Julie, if you get a hefty enough yarn (maybe cotton?) you could make a jump rope. We used to do that as kids, but with fingers and not a spool and using rubber bands.
