My Latoya tank top. Pattern is from Berrocco and the yarn is Lion Brand Cottonease knit with size 8 needles.

I changed the pattern so I could knit this in the round which was easy to do. Everything pretty much went smoothly until I got to the cabled part. But even the difficulty in grasping what CF9 and CB9 meant was overcome when I actually read the directions. Hey, I was sick, so my brain was not working on all 8 cylinders.

So get this…I should have knitted with needles one size smaller. Maybe even two. The tank top, after washing and blocking—and not much manipulating when blocking—is too big. Please see my excuse above about being sick.

Next project, I am working on a gauge swatch. Plus I’ll knit it in pieces like the pattern says to instead of working in the round. Hopefully that one will end up fitting ok!

I like the design in the middle. :) Sayang it's too big. I like the color too (I'm partial to any shade of brown).

I know! Sayang! Oh well. I should know by now that I need to always go down a needle size or two when it comes to things I wear, even if my gauge swatch says otherwise.

Maybe I'll find someone who'll fit this and just make another one. Hehe.
