Birthday Fun and Goodness

NM had a great time! The kids just played together in the back yard. I kept wondering why they weren't eating but I forgot the party was at 2 p.m. so they'd all had lunch. Hehe.

I just wanted to share one photo with you. This is the cake NM wanted me to make for him. He requested a cake! I felt honored.

My big boy technically turns eight at the end of the month. We do his birthday the weekend before Thanksgiving each year so we don't have to worry about out-of-towners. Unfortunately, there were lots of folks who did celebrate the holiday this past weekend so NM missed many of his friends. He did get a lot of presents he was very excited about.

And we had a wonderful person to celebrate!

My Lord, please give me the wisdom to raise my son in Your ways. Please make up for all my mistakes so far and the ones You know I'll fall into again. Give my son strength to follow You, the wisdom to recognize Your leading and a heart to see others the way that You do.
